Travel to Mt Hood – the tallest peak in Oregon and tour the Historic Timberline Lodge, built in 1937 entirely by hand inside and out, in just 15 months, by unemployed craftspeople hired by the Federal Works Progress Administration. The lodge has 4 stories, and 12,350 square feet. We will have lunch in the Cascade Dining Room, and tour the Historic Lodge. Then travel to Government Camp to tour the Mt. Hood Museum & Cultural Center. This museum has numerous history exhibits regarding the Mt Hood area as well as art exhibits to enjoy.
